“Pounding drums, addictive guitar, incredible anthemic, catchy choruses, and a very subtle Irish twang to help bring it all together”
The beloved Irish lads in Raglans are back, finally, with a brand new song; the first track to be taken off of their upcoming sophomore album “Heavy Medicine”. Following their raucous and ridiculously catchy self-titled debut album and it’s incredible follow-up EP “Again & Again” the Indie-Pop-Punk-Rock beauties have outdone themselves. One More Drop’ shows a little more polish, a little more refinement from the trio, than in previous works. It’s still got their distinct sound — pounding drums, addictive guitar, incredibly anthemic, catchy choruses, and a very subtle Irish twang to help bring it all together — but the music seems tighter, somehow; which, given Raglans are a band already known for their scarily energetic shows, spells out good things.
“The band have been going from strength to strength, and their continued success is a no brainer”
What makes this all the more impressive is this level of mastery from a band that’s been on a gentle hiatus, building their lives outside of Raglans — though, certain that the show would go on; obviously. A top five charting debut album, award nominated singles, slots supporting The Fray, The Libertines, and The Courteeners (as well as non ‘The’ bands such as Twin Atlantic and Haim) and slots at BST and Rock Am Ring Germany, the band have been going from strength to strength, and their continued success is a no brainer. The question really was simply when.
We cannot can’t wait to see what’s in store for the three! And with new material dropping before their second album comes out later in the year, it hopefully won’t be too long.
